After discussing a bit with @Stapelzeiger and @nuft tonight, we think it might be a more reasonable choice to move to ChibiOS. ChibiOS comes with full support for Ethernet and IP stack on our target controller, which might be a huge time saver. It also have compatibility with UAVCAN. Apparently thread-safe drivers are also implemented for a lot of our target hardware.
I (or any other interested person) would do it during the november iteration. I am just putting it here as a place to discuss the change if anyone wants to discuss it.
