Speed Display not constant #11

Open Fleagun opened 7 years ago

Fleagun commented 7 years ago

Hi, I'm running the latest version of SilverSprint on a MacBook Pro (Sierra) and when a race is in progress the speed calculation for each racer is not displaying as a "constant" number. It is continually flashing between 0 and what looks to be either 18 or 19 km/h or can jump to a next level around 30 km/h still flashing either 0 or the calculated speed.

I am just testing by running the magnet across the sensor by hand, but doesn't seem to be right. Other info:

Thanks for the report, I'll try to do the same and see if I can't replicate it.

This was updated in version 0.1.6 (https://github.com/cwhitney/SilverSprint/releases/tag/v0.1.6). The display is now smoothed a little bit, but still keeps hyper accurate track under the hood.

I have same problem in v0.1.6. The speed is only displayed at the moment when the sensor is triggered, the rest of the time is displayed 0. As result, it is continually flashing between speed and 0. And this speed value does not depend on the rotational speed.

I'll have to take a closer look. In the meantime, use 0.1.7beta. None of the beta features will affect stability or performance. @adc-san

Same problem as mentioned by adc-san, even with v0.1.7 installed. Needed to solve this in 2 weeks before xmas party :(

Same problem. I'm on 0.1.7beta and the speed value floats around 0mph and the end speed is always 2.7mph.
