Issue summary:
The original intent of the Direct channel was to highlight how many users were
typing in your site URL or visiting from a bookmark. As the web has changed,
there are many, many more instances of users visiting from a link in a mobile
app, in incognito mode, or via "dark social" - paths that don't include
referrer information. So, this "Direct" traffic is now mislabeled - it's simply
a measure of no-referrer traffic, vs actual direct traffic.
Can the labels be changed (in the UI, and everywhere) to "No referrer" or "No
referrer/Direct"? It will help clear up misunderstandings with less-savvy GA
users who believe that Direct traffic is 100% made up of actual direct traffic.
