Unresolvable diagnose issues with Hotmail & Facebook #1

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Normal options selection and save of all sources
2. click on diagnose problem which opens that source/service page already
signed in properly
3. Tried closing and reopening browser and redoing it all.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see message number or for it to act the way it does when there are
no messages.
Got error message every time saying there was a problem connecting.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The newest one available through Google Chrome extensions

Clicking on the diagnose button takes me to MSN Live site instead of Hotmail
where I am already signed in instead of going directly to hotmail as with the
others.

Please provide any additional information below.
Nothing else; just doesn't work for Hotmail & Facebook. Don't really need for
FB, but for Hotmail having it work would eliminate the need for a 2nd extension
specifically for the Live.com service.

I think this is relatively high priority since I just started using this
extension and it immediately has problems even while I am deciding whether to
continue using it or not. But, I was unable to find anywhere to set the
priority, so it defaulted.

Barbaraebj, I'm Sorry, I notice this issue very late util today. I'm expecting
mail notifications from Google for new issues.

There is no problem in my computer. I'm in China, so maybe Hotmail provides
different services for different countries.

Someone said that "Set Hotmail's options to jump directly to the Inbox instead
of Windows Live's homepage" would solve this kind of problem. Hope that helps.

Yahoo connects fine but can"t get hotmail or outlook notifications as it shows
not connected. Don't know what to do. Lorene

My hotmail is now outlook. When I first log in I get a momentary connected
indication. Almost immediately it reverts to not connected. I looked for the
connect directly you mentioned and cannot find it in outlook.
TIA
Lou
