Provisional Decision: We won't be adopting an upper level ontology atm. However, will be continuing discussions with other LOD research partners regarding this question is ongoing.
We are at least aiming to maintain interoperability with an upper level ontology in the longer run. If we adopt CIDOC-CRM for events, it will need to be compatible with the CRM's model of space/time.
