@SusanBrown @alliyya what is meant by "subset"? Is this still a priority? If so, I'm concerned about the impact it will have on mapping to CIDOC terms
We have talked about subsetting (including with Erin) so that the ontology is broken down into smaller components. Genre and I&I are already separate, so the idea was to do this so that e.g. Cultural Forms could be used independent of other components of the ontology.
I do not think it should be a priority, but I do not know what you mean about mapping to CIDOC terms. Do you mean the URIs would change? Or something beyond that?
I believe we decided to defer the question for the time being and finish mapping the relationships first. Put this on the agenda to discuss if we should review it sooner rather than later but the discussion would probably need to involve Deb and/or Erin.

Update on this: all CWRC terms will be amalgamated into one vocabulary for ResearchSpace, but we would still like to keep them separate for other purposes.
@joelacummings to start looking into this in September
