Re-work points system #65

"Points don't matter," but that doesn't mean they can't be improved! This epic encompasses any changes to how points work on the site.

Fun fact, here is a 2011 spreadsheet I used to design/spot check the original system to see how it worked:

I think I used the results from the previous semester to calculate an hourly difficulty of surviving that long... but then I'm not exactly sure how that resulted in the existing system.
