Unable to build in Visual studio 2017 Windows 10 #577

I followed the instructions, where it says open C:\cdogs-sdl I assumed that means open folder. This shows the project as a lot of files and cmake, does not appear like that projects shown in the picture. I set startup item as cdogs-sdl.exe and it says no no object file generated.
