Amazing work, I do realistic pencil portraits and they take me 15+ hours to finish. How long did this take you? I can't even imagine how hard this is and how much hard work it took from you to get to this level of HTML & CSS manipulation. Congrats!

@sofiabsilva Thank you so much! I used to do regular pen/paper drawing and would love to get back to that at some point - I'm just really terrible at following through with it. The challenge of CSS/HTML makes me kind of determined enough to want to actually create art more than once in a blue moon, so that's why I've stuck with it for a while.

Any CSS portrait I make might be totally done in like two weeks, but it's hard for me to ever consider them "finished". I still don't think this one is finished! I just have to consider it retired, at this point. If I go back and look at it again after a few month I may decide I hate it, so I'll constant updates, tweaks, rotations, color fixes, etc all the time. Or i'll just sometimes deleting large swaths and then redo them.

So it's a hard thing to gauge, but the short answer is "too damn long" :)

Thanks again for your kind words!
