add command line parsing, including ability to increase logging verbosity #31

This PR also switches from godep to dep, which is why it's huge.

To review, looks at the commits individually. The first commit contains all the updates related to the switch from godep to dep. If you examine it here, GitHub will show you two files of interest, and hide all the additions to vendor.

The other commits are reasonably-sized, and should be straightforward to review.
