8 years ago A 404 error page would probably the best (better than a redirection). Not sure about the complexity, but it shouldn't be too difficult..

Would it be complicated to check that the branch (and repo) tag is valid and print a warning if it is not? Because currently the doc looks empty and buggy when the tag is wrong, see for example this branch who was just deleted a few minutes ago: https://www.cyberbotics.com/doc/automobile/traffic-signs-and-lights?version=enhancement-mac-installation
