Wrong Windows NT version when submitting website reports #10

Closed ghost closed 12 years ago

ghost commented 12 years ago

In many website reports on http://www.operaturkiye.net/fix-the-web/ the platform version for Windows is incorrect. The reports are showing: 11.62.1324 on Windows NT 4.0 or for Opera 12.00, 12.00.VERBUILD on Windows NT 4.0

The Windows NT version is wrong, it should be- Windows NT 5.1 - Windows XP 32-bit Windows NT 5.2 - Windows Server 2003/Windows XP 64-bit Windows NT 6.0 - Windows Vista 32-bit/64-bit Windows NT 6.1 - Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit Windows NT 6.2 - Windows 8 (not released yet) 32-bit/64-bit

There is something wrong in the platform detection in the extension scripts. However, cyberstream's report at http://www.operaturkiye.net/fix-the-web/#!/Comments=1/page=1/id=2/domain= is reporting the platform well: 11.62.1304 on Windows 7

Thanks for the report. I will make changes to the server-side files to fix this. Actually, I changed my OS name in the popup form before I submitted it, so that's why it says "Windows 7" on that particular report. :) My netbook running Windows 7 is detected as having Windows NT 4.0...strange.

Thanks.

VER_BUILD_NUMBER string results from Opera 12 builds. There is a bug of Opera about this issue.

cyberstream commented 12 years ago

Yes, I noticed that. There isn't anything we can do about it AFAIK.
