So, Blockwallet (which has been discontinued by the way, see statements on blockwallet.eu) uses https://mainnet.infura.io/ as a backend. And as it seems, infuria.io also discontinued their 'free' use of this mainnet url (it returns a 404). So sadly there is not much I can provide to keep the App going without configuring your own etherium-network url (in the app settings). Or you can export your key and use a different wallet.
Dear @cybertim
Please help me... three years ago, I used your app Blockwallet on iOS and bought Ethereum. Now, I tried to sell them. In the meantime, I got another device, so I tried to reinstall Blockwallet, but noticed it's not available on AppStore anymore. Of course, I made a backup: I wrote down the 24-word-passphrase. 2 times, just to be sure.
Please tell me how I can restore my wallet. I only have this passphrase, the latest balance (1.68163875 Ether), the beginning of the 3 transaction hashes: 0x91419649092df3... 0x5d2d6e60af951b... 0x9d2918cb35ef13...
and the beginning of my Ether address hash: 0x3e653...
When I enter the passphrase in MyEtherWallet: https://www.myetherwallet.com/access-my-wallet (of course, the offline version of it), I get a list of many addresses with balance 0, but not my own.
I'm a software developer, so if necessary, I could make use of some API in order to get the needed information?...
Thank you very much in advance for your time and happy new year 2021!

Thank you @cybertim, I was able to solve the issue by installing the Trust Wallet App for iOS and then using the "Wallets -> + -> I already have a wallet" import existing wallet function of the Trust App. In summary, by using my Block Wallet pass phrase and the Trust App, I was able to restore wallet functionality.

Thank you very much for your quick response! I did this (&selected Ethereum), entered the 24-word BlockWallet pass phrase and got the message „import successful“. However, the balance is 0 and the transactions are empty :( I double-checked the passphrase and it‘s exactly the same I wrote down two times. What mistake could I’ve made?

Nicolai, I am not sure what might be causing the trouble. First, I suggest viewing the BlockWallet address on https://www.blockchain.com/explorer?view=eth and then studying what historic transactions have occurred both in and out of your BlockWallet address just in case you see transactions you don't recognize.
Secondly, within the old BlockWallet App perhaps there is a way to export your existing wallet private key (or copy the private key) for the wallet that is showing the 1.68 ETH you own. @cybertim who created the App would know.
Thirdly, any spelling mistakes or wrong word order could create this type of error. In the old BlockWallet App I feel certain there must be a way to recover the private key and pass phrase.
This is all that comes to mind right now. I have a copy of the old BlockWallet App on an iPad I no longer use. I'll look at the settings view and see what I find regarding exporting or copying the private keys.
Now it worked! My steps:
:D

Now it worked! My steps: - Downloaded BlueStacks for Windows - Downloaded BlockWallet APK and installed it in BlueStacks - In Blockwallet, I entered the passphrase - In BlockWallet, I made a backup: manage wallets, backup -> create paper wallet - I entered the PRIVATE KEY (64 characters) into TrustWallet - 🎉 tadaa! There are my Ethers! :D Nicolai Kilian nicolai.kilian@gmail.com schrieb am Do. 31. Dez. 2020 um 19:09: … Thank you very much for your quick response! Hallelujah. I am glad all is okay now. I was about to suggest almost the same =Open BlockWallet, Select Manage Wallets, Select My Block Wallet, Select Back Up, Select Recovery Phrase, Copy Phrase to Clip Board, Open Trust App, Add Existing Wallet, Paste Pass Phrase. Well done. The Trust App is probably most powerful ever yet created especially for sweeping old and paper wallets. Glad I could help (a little). Bye now from South Carolina. Best Regards.
You‘re awesome, didn’t expect such a prompt response today! Best regards and happy 2021 from Germany

Nice to see this has been resolved.
Reminder, there is still the https://github.com/cybertim/blockwallet/tree/master/keytools (keytools) available which are able to decode your secret words and give you the private/public key. These keys can be used for -any- other ethereum wallet in existence.
Hi Cybertim,
Thank you for creating Block Wallet. I’ve attached below of a screenshot of an App error message I’m seeing when my wallets try to update. Can you tell me how to fix the issue? Even when I “try again later” the connection error still persists. Thank you for any help or advice you can provide. See image attached.
