I wonder if a specific announcement thread would be useful? Not to be replied to necessarily but one where (only?) trustees/staff can notify members of decisions made. Is that too fiddly?

Would it be better though to make such announcements in the relevant thread? Or did you mean some kind of thread just for super-important stuff?
