I think the waypoints UI isn't ideal in the Leisure Routing.
The waypoints selection is an option that has the same status as route type, distance - it's the third of three. However, at present it is shown as a separate swipe-to-right screen. In other parts of the app, however, the swipe-right pages are pages which contain separate functionality.
I think the fact that you've had to use text to explain that people have to swiping to the left (or right as I am probably wrongly calling it!), indicates that the UI here isn't as clear as it could be.
I would suggest that it be a third box, which then links to the POI type selection list, and which has a clear sense of 'back', i.e. a temporary part of the flow, rather than being a screen with the same status as the main one.
The POIs screen does correctly use checkboxes in this case, showing that more than one can be selected.
