Sometimes doest detect Client/Core #225

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. It's random.
2. If I remember right, it's mostly with the Gromacs core.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It doesn't detect or show the Client Type and neither Core name and so it
doesn't calculate the points.
Please check attached image.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v0.5.1 build 198, on Win XP 32bits.

Your program is very usefull, I like it a lot.
Would be nice if it could FTP the results to a remote server, and not only
local.
Best Regards.

Hi overclockyourmind,

Thanks for reporting your issue. However, this is not a bug. The Core and
Client detection uses the values from the Stanford psummary
(http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html). HFM should attempt to download a
new psummary when an unknown project is encountered. That may not be happening
(the connection is being blocked) for some reason.

There is also a facility to upload HTML/XML data to a FTP server if that's what
you're talking about. Please join me over at the HFM Google Group to discuss
if you'd like help getting setup. We can also check on your psummary download.

Thanks,
-H

After you wrote that the program downloads the psummary, I reenabled the
permissions in my firewall. So that was the reason.

About the FTP settings, please look at the new image.

Forgot to add: even when I put ftp.mydomain.com instead of the above, it gives
that error.
Not sure whats going on... that subdomain is active and accesible with
Filezilla.
