blocking javascript message

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. enter an (preferably long and elaborte) dataset definition
2. come back to the "Dataset Description" field, delete the default content in 
order to describe your fine dataset
3. and a Javascript message "You have to provide a description for the dataset" 
pops up. Since the input field looses the focus, you have no chance to finish 
your work. If you confirm the message and you try to click into the description 
field, th message pops up again.
4. If you close the popup window, all the content you entered is replaced by an 
empty template. (see screendump)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Firefox 3.6.8

Please provide any additional information below.

PS. I was stuck with this and not able to save within the application. Since I 
was warned by a prior experience, I had copied the text version from time to 
time, so this was not too frustrating.

Note that this seems to happen with all required fields such as Dataset Name. 
Need to check all of them and set focus (and don't show message) after clear 
action.
