Would be nice to have SFARK support. SFARK is a compression algorythm for
soundfonts files. support on macosx is almost gone, but many files are
compressed using this algorythm. there used to be informations here:
http://melodymachine.com/sfark.htm informations can be retrived using
webarchive website:

It doesn't look like there's any documentation for the format, so it would have
to be reverse engineered, which takes a lot of time. I probably won't have the
time to do that anytime soon for such a minor format.

If anyone else wants to have a go, though, I can accept patches. Or if anyone
can find any more information about it, that would help too.

Sigh! thanks for answering so quickly anyway.

I tried to look for source code and sent an email to the former author but they
all seems desappeared in the dark.

If anything does turn up, though, post it in here.

It appears that someone has done a bit of reverse engineering here:

Having read that, I am almost tempted to say support should not be implemented,
just to discourage use of this format. Nobody should ever use it, and rather
than try to unpack files in it, it would be far better to tell anyone who used
it that they should stop.

I might still do it, though. Depends on how complicated it is to get that code
working, though. (It seems to really might be complicated if you want it to
actually run cross-platform, due to the idiotic reliance on the 387.)
