Backend - python v ruby? #4

Any thoughts on what we want to program our backend in?

I don't think it's super critical, but we should make sure that everyone has a working dev environment.

I'm probably more in favor of rails, but am also willing to learn some more flask or django.

I'm open to rails

For those that don't have rails installed here are some instructions http://ruby.railstutorial.org/ruby-on-rails-tutorial-book#sec-rubygems

How does everyone else feel? @jasdeepg was thinking we should use VB ... jk

always on the VB train. i'm pretty much a baller at macros.

i'm okay with rails. but i'll probably be able to contribute more on the js train.

I'd be interested in a d3.js heavy project and have been meaning to do more backbone.
