Documentation for Mastodon:

1) prefer making separate issues rather than making a "megaissue" which is hard to track and triage. 2) I don't see the point of adding Spotify as a supported platform since there are no social interactions happening on the platform, and I don't even think there's the "Friend Activity" thing on the web player, since I never use it.

Then, would it be alright if I proceeded to move the Mastodon support/documentation to its own issue?

cyyynthia commented 3 years ago

Mastodon wasn't in the scope of the issue anyway, and since it's on the roadmap shown on the website & readme I don't think opening an issue is necessary.

I just let it slip at the beginning because it was only 2 websites, but it's preferable to split tasks in multiple issues which each target a single task.

Alright so I changed my mind and will open issues for new modules (including ones listed on the readme.md), however while this is opened I'll discuss here to avoid creating garbage issues: while I see how to support YouTube and where to put pronouns, what'd be the use of supporting osu? The only thing I can inject into is the forum, is it really worth the effort?

HerXayah commented 3 years ago

I mean it doesnt have any Gendering whatsoever. So i guess it would be nice to know, and since many forum sites are similar it would be easier to support other forums then too.

I'd like to bump the YouTube support; with a decent API it could be implemented into third party YouTube clients too. (NewPipe, etc)

Has there been any progress on the YouTube front? I'm hoping to try and convince the MixItUp devs to include support for this, but will probably need to get pronounDB to add YouTube and Trovo support first :(

cyyynthia commented 12 months ago

I'm afraid not, YouTube support is inexistant at this time. PRs are welcome though, if you're willing to 😉

Paladinleeds commented 12 months ago

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with how to develop stuff to be able to provide any PRs. :(
