Can you add A English language Options ?

czy0729 commented 1 month ago

This is a website from a Chinese community, and 99% of the content on it isn’t in English. Is it really necessary to add an English option in this case?

SreekuttanOtaku commented 1 month ago

I use the website to find chinese animation and games and others it is difficult in chinese but I can use translator if you can't add and thanks you for reply back 😁 I meant by the option can be english

I didn’t expect people from other regions to actually use Bangumi.

But translating all the displayed text into English is pretty challenging. Plus, since the client isn’t a web page, it’s not as straightforward as using a browser’s full-page translation. It’s actually quite complex. And in China, even Google Translate isn’t available, so browser translations end up being more of a well-known gimmick.

Actually, this issue can still be considered. I’ll try to add English text to the client, which I think will benefit my project. But don’t expect much beyond that.

I know that Google Translate cannot be used in China, but I think as long as you are outside of China, using the Google API should work normally.👀
