Yeah! DemocracyOS is already using component/aurora-calendar and other aurora elements. Customization is super-easy.

I suggest you always take a look at existing components for any visual element since there are hundreds and integration into DemocracyOS codebase is seamless (they're all built with the same approach).

You can also search for existing components in the official component website, much more friendly for non-devs.

@saariokari, as a rule, we try to use code that not is dependant on jQuery, like the one you proposed.
