PCB ordering guide #5

Open T89L opened 4 years ago

T89L commented 4 years ago

When trying to order the PCB I am able to upload the gerber.zip file successfully but how do I provide the SMT components for assembly? JLCPCB seems to be looking for BOM or CPL files. Sorry if I am missing something I have not ordered custom PCBs before.

I can make a PR with a guide for others once I understand the whole process.

hello there I would also be very interested in how to buy/order the PCB... Greetings Ulrich

Did you figure out how to add or generate a BOM file?

Marwitch commented 2 years ago

I had the PCB made and used all the components, unfortunately after measuring I found out that the PCB is badly made and I threw it away! I made my own code for arduino and I control it via the endstop switch :D

Thats exactly what I was thinking of doing. With an end stop switch. I even looked around on fiver to see if some on could code something similar. Would it be to much to ask if you are willing to share or sell your idea to me? I've been trying to automated my printers for a while now. I even bought quinley automation, but I'm not a fan of the print head pushing the parts out.

I hired some one on fiver to rewrite the code to trigger with a switch, but nothing happens idk what's wrong.

hello there has someone found a way to create the BOM and CPL file for JLCPCB? @tim-lukacik or did you find another way to order it?

Hi,

Also having trouble getting the PCB made with all components. Has anyone been able to do so successfully? Would happily purchase a built PCB

Did you get this to work? can I chat to you about what you did?

I see you have a fork but there is no information on the arduino code?
