General question: How does this build of Emacs avoid the frame becoming blank whilst resizing? #689

When I switched from the default brew formula for emacs to emacs-plus, I noticed that the frame contents are still displayed whilst the window is being resized, instead of just turning blank. I tried looking at the applied patches, but I can't seem to find what would be affecting this behaviour.

Any idea what patch / build flag / something else fixes this?
