Hi @Tabakai Can you verify the version of WebView2 Runtime in "Installed app" setting?
You can try uninstalling it, then download and install again from this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703
Uninstall is greyed out. I can "repair" it and I have. If I download from the link and run it, it simply says that it's already installed.
I just got a prompt to update and got this same error by downloading from the direct download. I have webview installed. I had to install a new runtime too that was only disclosed after I updated ImageGlass. Requirements should be checked before installing, not after.
I had to manually uninstall and install the 9.1, which had the same error. I had to do it again to go back to the version 8, which not only didn't work, but created a process without ui consuming lots of cpu that had to be killed manually. What did you do with this software? It's a shame that it was messed up so badly. Windows softwares are supposed to be easy for the end user.
@enricodias You can read the changelog of every release to know what I did with this software if reading skill is not your issue. FYI, this kind of comment of yours does not make me want to look into the issue.
@d2phap I know my comment looked like a rant, it's because it was. End users will not read the changelog on each update and reading them wouldn't prevent the error reported here. A changelog is also not a replacement for dependencies checks during install. It was really frustrating getting all those issues in sequence. Take this as a negative feedback if you want.
I decided to stop using ImageGlass after failing to go back to version 8 again, so I don't mind you not looking into this. I didn't mean to be offensive or anything. I still think that posting here would be somehow valuable for you so you may be aware that there are probably more people getting this error and just silently abandoning the app. Since this issue is from feb, this has probably been going on for a while.
Anyways, good luck with your project.
System Information
Version: igcmd v9.0.10.201 (Store) Release code: kobe Magick.NET: Magick.NET Q16-HDRI-OpenMP x64 netstandard21 13.5.0 WebView2 Runtime: 100.0.1185.36 OS: Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.22631.0 64-bit Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.3085
I decided to support the dev and purchased this from the microsoft store after using it without issue. I can't get past the first run setup of the store version as I get the following error:
Error
Additional context:
I have run repair on webview2 and .net 8.0.1. and that has not helped. I have uninstalled the windows store version and installed the direct download using the msi installer for 9.0.10.201 and the msi version is working without issue.
I notice in the error message it says webview2 is 100.0.1185.36 but I am certain I have 121.0.2277.106 installed and as I said I've run repair and re-installed.
