We need to learn about GA4GH Data Repository Service (DRS) API in order to understand how it might fit into the FHIR model for genomic files. Soon DRS will be the new interface for accessing Kids First genomic files in Gen3 instead of Indexd.
DRS provides a generic interface to data repositories so data consumers, including workflow systems, can access data in a single, standard way regardless of where it’s stored and how it’s managed.
