Issues applying face tracking #90

Closed mcdubz closed 5 months ago

mcdubz commented 5 months ago

Long story short, face tracking parameters are not being applied to the optimized model.

OSC debug shows that the parameters are being recognized, at least, and when I smile IRL, my tail wags but my model doesn't smile. I swapped to a different FT model of mine, and FT does work on that one.

I have a feeling that the issue stems from blendshapes being reduced from 600-something down to 58. I cannot find an option to ignore optimization of blendshapes either. Perhaps this feeling is incorrect.

If anyone has run into and solved this issue, please let me know what your fix was. Thank you in advance

Are you animating blendshapes in any other layer besides the FX Layer? If so the optimizer currently does not recognize those.

Hmm.. I'm actually not too sure where the animations are being kept. I did manually delete most of the FX layer entries, so I will try restoring the original FX layer and try again after work. Thank you!

Update--- I restored the original, unedited FX layer to the FX playable layer, and that did not work.

I then found the FT package animations, and then duplicated and placed them in the same Project/Asset directory as the original non FT FX layer, and then added that to the FX playable layer. This did not work either.

I then found the FT package Expression menu and Expression Parameters and added those to the expressions for my avatar, and this did not work.

FT Package is Echo FT, BTW. I am absolutely at a loss as to what to do next. Screenshot_38 Screenshot_37

Figured it out- I decimated the face. Swapping to the un-decimated version fixed the issue.
