Script fail on trying to connect - Debian Jessie/KDE #14

Currently using Debian 8 with KDE. Tried to install standard PIA 81 - which failed - no user interface appears (did not remove installation). Then tried your handy script via github & instructions you provided in the readme. Primarily seem to be getting this error regardless of chosen site:

" [>] 42 [>] Connecting to US_Denver, Please wait...Options error: Unrecognized option or missing parameter(s) in US_Denver.ovpn:15: compress (2.3.4) Use --help for more information."

appears to hang and do a Ctrl-C to cancel then get:

" [*] VPN Disconnected."

Initially, received endless error that it couldn't find /var/log/pia.log - inserted that file manually and error ceased although it does not appear to be writing to that file.

Did update openvpn through script (as error indicates it is ver. 2.3.4) Any thoughts?

hello, you should try to install openvpn 2.4.
