Maybe something like https://github.com/yuroyami/syncplay-android
More like if i have one phone connected with a sound system and I'm too lazy to stand up to make it louder or skip to the next song. So then I can just click next song and it would play the next song on the other phone, that is connected to the sound system. I don't want to join a room or something like that. Just the controls for the media not the media it self.
Maybe using a media ipc server
https://soundseeder.com/ With that i won't have the battery percentage of the phone that is connected to the sound system also either I'm to stupid to use it or it won't work like i want it to. I just want the media controls not the media itself. Like with Bluetooth headphones you can press a button twice and it will skip to the next song. Just with another phone not with headphones.
What you are proposings seems difficult Start music on one device Controll the seek/play/pause using other drvoce via notification Every media player app will have seperate code for notofication based media control
However use can use remote control feature Use teamviewer to access screen of remote device and seek/play
At the risk of preaching to the choir - while it may get lost in its bevy of other useful functions, KDE Connect does this & does so beautifully IMO (& is also FLOSS). I would imagine all the code needed to implement similar functionality in Octi without having to write the entire thing from scratch is readily available, but I defer to your judgment. I just didn't come across any mentions of IMO essentially the gold standard in inter-device(inter-LAN) media control. Of any app, FLOSS, proprietary, freemium, etc. I rely heavily upon this feature daily and it rarely disappoints. If Octi shipped with this type of functionality, there's no question I would use it much more frequently
+1
Sync playing music and let other devices control it, like play pause next and previous track.
