Comment

This folder appears when I had PUBG MOBILE installed. I did a search, it seems to be a Tencent-related folder.

Potentially more than just clutter? Maybe something for the AppCleaner? What's inside?

Revival8697 commented 5 years ago

Only a file called "GUID", can't open it on phone (forced opening as text file).

d4rken commented 5 years ago

That might be used to identify your device for advertising purposes. Might be nice to delete that via AppCleaner's advertising filter.

Can't really find anything about "MidasOversea" though so far.

Tencent sure is mysterious 🤔

Revival8697 commented 5 years ago

It is safe to delete, I found no problems after doing that. It auto recreated the folder as I launch PUBG MOBILE.

Tencent sure is mysterious thinking

They just don't give a fuck whether the 10 SDKs they use, create 10 extra folders with random files on their device...

It is safe to delete, I found no problems after doing that. It auto recreated the folder as I launch PUBG MOBILE.

Some more research shows that "MidasOverseas" adds "Mall" and "Shopping" activities to the apps, so I'm adding this under the AppCleaner advertising filter.
