I have been contemplating contributions, but quite frankly, this would be my first effort working on a VS Code extension.... Since this is the best Perl Debugger IMHO, maybe I should just jump in the deep end and learn how to swim. Unless a Bay Watch person comes along who already knows how to explore these waters... Let's see who reacts...
I'm still just a Perl tire-kicker, and can't volunteer to be the maintainer, but I can help out here and there. For example I just submitted a PR to add a small feature for listing the policy name in diagnostic messages https://github.com/d9705996/perl-toolbox/pull/27. I've developed a couple of Erlang extensions, and am building a website startingperl.com (WIP, not deployed yet) which references this extension as crucial tooling for newbies.
Hi @d9705996 , can you add a license to the project? I'd suggest the MIT license, but obviously up to you. This would allow people to fork, update, and publish, or even borrow code for other extensions. It's not exactly a new maintainer, but would help keep the code alive.
I built this extension to scratch my own itch but I'm afraid I have moved on and will no longer be able to spend time updating the extension. I dont want to archive the project so would appreciate if anyone wants to keep this going.
If you do comment.
