Aretafcts from tab remain in the console

Describe the bug When I open new tab to edit file (using https://github.com/mhinz/neovim-remote), edit it and close it again, I am often left with unremoveable artifacts on the screen of the terminal emulator.

Technical information (please complete the following information):

• OS: Linux openSUSE/Tubmleweed
  • Neovim build version: neovim-0.4.0~git.1556097812.24a9516ff from personal repo
• Neovim-Gtk version: neovim-gtk-0.1.2~git.1555146623.8d26c90

Actually, I get the same with the console neovim in gnome-terminal.
