dream to be able to capture and play-back human speech / music with the interferometer

current barriers:

amplification to meaningfully deflect mirrors
faster response to pick-up frequencies upwards of 200Hz

These goals are addressed and are being worked towards in issue #10

current plan:

use lapel microphone and speaker to amplify speech
use photo-diode and R-Pi to capture higher frequencies (by faster response)
process and playback <-- will need something stronger than viterbi to find the signal

other sound effects to bug:

shutting of doors
tapping of keyboards?

current issues with how to do proper signal-processing, in particular filtering out mains and limiting noise, this issue may not be achievable

focus on that we are able to playback slow moving tones (alone or in a chord) and track them with the viterbi algorithm, publishable but not as exciting
