Thank you for suggesting this enhancement! At the moment, I'm undecided about whether or how I want to support this.
PR Focus is, by design, very focused on pull requests in repositories you're watching. I can understand your use case for keeping track of other things, like tags, releases, issues, or other activity in a repository. But these other activities are outside the scope of "watch repositories for PRs you care about - and ignore the rest" - which is my driving design mantra for PR Focus.
It sounds like what you're asking for here is more along the lines of a "repository watcher" dashboard thing that can pay attention to various types of activity in a repository, which you could presumably configure on a per-repository basis. I'm uncertain at this time how that fits in with the PR Focus design strategy.
I'll leave this request open for additional folks to watch or comment if they're interested in similar functionality. This may be something I would consider for a much-farther-down-the-road future version of the app, based on how much interest it gets between now and then.
As a user who needs to keep track of peoples work in other repositories, I would like to be informed when they have cut a new tag or a new release.
I do not expect to be able to do anything with this information, because any action that would come out of this would either be a new ticket in the ticketing system, or a new PR that would show up anyways.
