OSS projects frequently use chat, but history is lost/not searchable. Could be cool to use this to build trends, find new stories, bubble up topics.

I often use GitHub activity as a measure of how active an open source project is, but activity is an interesting metric as well.

For example (total users): prestosql vs. prestodb Slack: ~1700 vs ~1100 Apache Druid Slack: ~550
