Issues with selecting Reference value #764

Take the following steps:

  1. Go to http://develop.publish.dadi.technology/articles/new
  2. Type something into the title field
  3. Click Select existing author
  4. Select a value and click Save selection
  5. Watch the You have unsaved changes message popping up (Bug 1)
  6. Click Discard changes
  7. Click Select existing author again
  8. Watch the previous selection being restored, even though the value was cleared (Bug 2)
