Hi, sorry for the delay. Please describe what you mean by "multiple exposures
feature"?
Does it mean taking few photos with different exposures (for HDR) ?

Hi there.. no problem and thanks for replying.. =)
I mean if there's a way you can press the shutter a number of times exposing
just one frame and not advancing to the next. kinda like a double exposure
for films. you can change your exposure settings like shutter or aperture,
take a shot, then change it again or even change your focal length/focus
among other things but still be on one frame or one photo. it's similar to
bracketing but you never leave that particular frame/photo.
Oh and by the way, just to inform you guys, i have a 400D that has over 40K
shutter count on it and your hack works wonderfully. it never gave me any
problems at all. thanks again!

hm, i do not think this is possible, when the photo is taken, canon's routines
are writing the image to the CF. we cannot ask their routines to merge the next
frame to the already written one... so this is NotPossible resolution. if you
have other comments on this we can change the status later.

You should be able to do your multiple exposure trick easily in post processing
imaging software using layers, or other common software techniques. I agree
with AF in that I wouldn't think that this type of feature would be do-able
in-camera without a ton of effort and re-write.
Also, if I'm not mistaken the Canon 400D was originally talked about to support
100K shutter actuations, but was changed in all the Canon marketing and sales
materials to 50K actuations before release for reasons unknown. So with only
40K shutter actuations on your 400D - you may well have plenty of life left in
that camera if you take good care of it!

yeah.. i guess photoshop is the easiest and best way to go about solving this
multiple exposure thingy. just wondered why Canon left that out on the 400D.
hmmm... it would have been a nice addition though. oh well.. you guys gave our
400D's lots of good stuff to enjoy and have breathe a new life to it so
thanks.. =)
hopefully it goes well above the 50K mark because i love the size of this dslr.
it's a lot easier to shoot street photography with this than with a full size
dslr. you know what, i think this is canon's way of telling us that, "hey, it's
time for you to upgrade and buy from us so we can make more money than we're
getting from you guys" lol..
hey, thanks again for the effort and hard work. kudos to everybody on the team!
