Black screen after intervalomter

Hello, first of all very good project, thanks for sharing!
The previous weekend I decided to try 400d Plus, but unfortunately the 
batteries lasted me very little and could not make the most of the trip.
All the time I used the option of invtervalometer.
Today doing some tests with the intervalometer I noticed something strange 
happens when it finishes running. Instead of turning off the display (which I 
believe correct) directly "off" the display falsely showing a black screen.
Then think of the number of colors to be generated to show the black screen, I 
think that has helped in lowering my battery autonomy.
It strikes me as an improvement that, instead of generating a black screen, you 
can not directly call a function that makes display_off () when finished 
running the intervalometer?

This has been discussed already, when the display is really off, the camera 
enters a low-power sleep mode and stops most of the tasks and thus the 
intervalometer stops too. Unless we find a way to turn off the display w/o 
stopping the tasks, this will be the only way of using the scripts.

I will close as "NotPossible", please reopen if you feel there is more to be 
done for this issue.
