ISO in viewfinder very breif #279

When I half-press the shutter button (and hold it half pressed) and press
either, UP, LEFT, or RIGHT to change the ISO, nothing happens. But when I
half-press and then release the shutter button, it works - But only for a few
seconds so that I can only change it one or two steps. It also flicks between
the ISO value and the shutter speed with every time i press either UP, LEFT, or
RIGHT.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.put camera in M mode
2.half press the shutter button
3.press left or right to change the iso

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Maybe i misunderstood this feature, I was expecting to be able to hold the
shutter button and change the ISO at the same time, just like with the shutter
speed. Is this not Possible?

Also are you able to make the ISO value stay visible for a bit longer after
either the UP, LEFT, or RIGHT buttons are pushed -> not overly important
though, just nice.

What version of the product are you using?
V-20120415-13

Please provide any additional information below.

Notice that the ISO value is visible as long as you keep the UP / LEFT / RIGHT
button pressed. And about the shutter button, I'm afraid there isn't much we
can do about that.

I see this as mostly an ergonomics issue...
WRT "ISO value is visible as long as you keep the UP / LEFT / RIGHT button
pressed." -- that is very difficult when one uses a single thumb to press all
of those same buttons, hence there is delay between each button press where the
ISO is not displayed. Trying to push-and-hold each time is a technique that
could be developed by the user, but it is not quick and ergonomic and takes
longer time to see and understand because there is still this "flicker" where
the ISO disappears.

Suggest addressing Issue 300 so that simply having the eye on the viewfinder
(proximity sensor engaged) and "Pushing the ISO (UP) button" displays the ISO,
then re-enabling the ISO value to change via the main dial (default camera
setting).

Issue 300: "Nose affair" option instead of feature (disabling ISO + WB buttons)
