auto iso not working correctly in manual with exposure compensation

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.camera in manual, auto-iso on

2.look through viewfinder (or cover sensor under viewfinder) and click left 
several times, this should set it to underexpose. 

3.iso is going to max value rather than a low value

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
iso should be low, but is high

What version of the product are you using?
latest

Please provide any additional information below.

this seems similar to the auto iso issue we had in av mode

camera settings:
stock lens (18-55)
apperture: F5
shutter speed: 1/15

Reproduced: any negative compensation makes ISO go to maximum value.
