Set camera to M mode, and then press SET at the viewfinder to toggle on /off. 
While active, a small "#" will be shown between the exposure time and the 
aperture. Now changing Av will change Tv to keep a constant exposure, and the 
other way around. It is disabled automatically if set to BULB, changed to 
another AE mode, or camera is switched off.
