I had the 400plus working well, but after formatting the CF card on 400D,
400plus is no longer there.

I have tried following attempts in this order:
1. install testfir, prepared cf card, loaded 400plus-20120415-14, wouldn't load
2. reinstalled official firmware 1.1.1, install testfir, prepared cf card,
loaded 400plus-20120415-14, boot up but wouldn't load 400plus
3. prepared cf card, loaded 400plus-20120415-14, boot up but wouldn't load
400plus
4. in windows XP, prepared cf card, loaded 400plus-20120415-14, boot up but
wouldn't load 400plus

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No blue light flash, 400plus not loaded

What version of the product are you using?
400plus-20120415-14

Please provide any additional information below.
Need advice what to do.

After formatting the CF Card, the AUTOEXEC.BIN is missing.
You do not need to reflash the official firmware, neither the testfir.fir.
You just need to prepare the card and put AUTOEXEC.BIN (and the other files) on
the CF.
Perhaps you've done something wrong. Try again, if not working, try another CF
card.

p.s.
Report of success or failure.

Problem solved.

The steps solved my problem are:

Formatted CF in XP, EOScard ticked EOS_DEVELOP and BOOTDISK (the link in
"Preparing each card" section only indicated to tick BOOTDISK)

Copied all files from bin folder to root and overwrite the magic lantern's
AUTOEXEC.BIN

All working again.

A big thank you for your quick response! I am so glad I didn't lock my 400D out
of 400plus. Love your work. Best wishes and many thanks.

I'm glad it's ok now. Perhaps the newer versions of EOScard are different,
thanks for sharing.
