It would've been great if there was an option to delete all the pictures in the 
card.

ML has this, but it's a bit tricky, though it will be a nice feature.

Apparently there is an option to erase all pictures, without formatting the 
card.

When pressing the Delete Button, just choose delete all and it doesn't delete 
the plus, just all pics...

The point is that erasing all photos will take like forever when there are 
~1000 or more photos. The easier way (at least for me, before 400Plus) was to 
format the card.
This is something that we can do in 400Plus, but it needs more investigation, 
to find a photo buffers so we can save our hack (and additional files) there, 
before formating, then copy them back to the card after the format.
