Add support for Mac OSX #16

Updated README with instructions and made some commands OSX friendly.

Let me know if it causes any trouble with Linux.

This is wonderful. Thank-you! I have pulled and merged this request.

The conflict between gnu-getopt and getopt(1) is unfortunate; I don't like that an OSX user would need to temporarily force a version switch, and then remember to switch it back. I didn't realize that I was using GNU flavored syntax. I'll have to research a way to make such a switch unnecessary. Any suggestions?

@dadoug added my comment on the new issue. It doesn't look like there is an easy replacement.

Also, thank you for your work on this library - I'm happy to be able to contribute something to it!
