@drvinceknight the opening is ready for your review. I think it's pretty succinct (in a good way) but let me know what you think.

I'm stuck on how to approach writing the "research questions and novel aspects" section like we discussed last week. I agree that it should be in there, but I don't know how to rephrase the questions. I'll drop a line to Jon asking for advice on that as well.
