Add validation to pipeline import

Currently, pipelines with invalid metadata crash the UI when imported. A validation routine should be implemented to inspect the pipeline and either:

• Present an error detailing the problems
• Automatically fix the issues

One example is a pipeline with a branch step containing a result parameter that has been marked as type Pipeline.
