Implement "extract" editing action #3

The extract editing action cuts selected material from the sequence and closes the gap left by its removal. The material is placed in the clipboard.

This feature is dependent on the existence of a currently unimplemented clipboard (see issue #5).

The feature has been partially implemented. The operation is performed but the selected material is not placed in the clipboard.
