This is basically saying that there should be a way to view the braille file in all its glory on a computer for sighted people. This is perhaps the same as saying that standard braille translation software should be able to import the file, see #5.
As a teacher of the visually impaired (TVI) I want to have the textbook on my computer and see the original graphics that are also rendered as a tactile graphic. In addition to graphics, I want to see the math expressions that are converted to braille math.
Problem statement: Teachers of the visually impaired, parents, and peer students often help the blind student. To assist the blind student it is essential to see the original graphic, math, and geometric graphics that have been converted for the blind student.
It should be possible to show both the original graphic on a computer with a screen. The blind student would only get the alt text from the original graphic, but would have the tactile graphic available to them. This should also be possible with math. One assumption is that the math was originally encoded in MathML and converted to braille math. This has the added benefit of allowing the blind student to use the MathML in its native form. There are several approaches to provide this information, such as using the HTML details element to show or hide both images and math.
