Having the settings dialog open does not disable the main window, so the menu is still relevant to that. Maybe we should make the settings dialog either fully modal (disabling any interaction with the main window, including the menu bar) or fully non-modal (letting the settings window be open but can be put in the background).
From call on 20 May: It would also be ok if the settings dialog was never "always on top" but acted like a regular application window
We to bring it forward when it is hidden behind other windows and the user selects file->settings.
From recent tester feedback:
"when any dialogue box is open for an example “setting”, I see a same menu which is available for main application. Is there a mean of this menu bar?"
