Hello @daitj! Thanks for this awesome project. I struggled to get this extension installed at first (specifically, I was unaware that I had to reboot). I found comparable instructions at https://github.com/SaGrLand/gnome-shell-display-ddc-brightness-volume/blob/master/README.md, and I've adapted some of that info here for clarity.
